If you feel you can help with a donation to the Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation click the sponsor me button above and go to Katie's page.
The inspiration for this journal came from a journal posted last week by
trying to help spread the awareness of breast cancer. I'm including that very touching photo in this journal in hopes that more people will go take a look, fave it and maybe even share it in your journal. But......I can't let this opportunity to share some startling facts about Children's Cancer and lack of funding, get away....since most of my watchers know about my daughter Katie(above) and her struggle with Brain Cancer.
BTW, she has been stable, thank God, for the last six years. She struggles daily with the effects of the cancer and treatments, but most days she faces with a smile....how, I don't know.
The follow information came from a petition to help get more funding for Childhood Cancer research. The link for this petition is here
www.thepetitionsite.com/1/Cure… It's written by a father that lost his son to Cancer. There are a little over 39,000 signatures and the goal is 1,000,000.
Please consider signing it in Katie's honor. Did you know: - Childhood cancer is the #1 killer disease of our children, more than from asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies, and pediatric AIDS combined
- 1 in 300 children will be diagnosed with cancer before age 20
- Each year 3,000 children die, and 35-40,000 are in treatment
- The National Cancer Institute's (NCI) federal budget was $4.6 billion. Of that, breast cancer received 12%, prostate cancer received 7%, and all 12 major groups of pediatric cancers combined received less than 3%</u>
- Childhood cancer has a huge societal impact - 180,000 potential years of life are lost to it EVERY year!
Amazing Grace
There Was A Girl Of Only Five
Somehow She Seemed To Know Why We Were Alive
Grace Use To Sit In The House All Day
Talking And Dreaming Her Life Away
Yet The Cancer Was Spreading Fast
The Year I Met Her Was Her Last
She Had Dream's Of Making It Big With Her Little Voice
And She Dreamed She Had A Future And Dying Was Not A Choice
Amazing Grace How Sweet Her Sound It Saved A Wretch Like Me
I Once Was Lost But Now Im Found Was Blind Till She Made Me See
She Came Into My Life As A Patient With A Smiling Face
And It Seems As Lost As I Was She Helped Me Find My Place
I Knew Not How Someone So Small Could Dream So Big
Her Life Was The Stage, Hope Was The Song, And Saving Me Was Her Last Gig
With A Voice So Small And Deep
She Said "The Farther Watches Over His Sheep"
And Everytime She Came In
She Seemed To Help Me Cure My Own Pain And Sin
Such A Pretty Face
Amazing Grace

I Once Was Lost But Now I'm Found Was Blind Till She Made Me See
Standing By Her Bedside Holding Her Hand Near
Telling Her It Will Soon Be Better And There's Nothing Left To Fear
I Tell Her That She Saved Me Saved Me From My Sin
And On Her Little Face I Saw A Tiny Grin
She Squeezed My Hand As The Moniter Beeped
And I Cried As My Savior Went Into Eternal Sleep
Amazing Grace How Sweet Her Sound It Saved A Wretch Like Me
I Once Was Lost But Now I'm Found Was Blind Till She Made Me See
I Walked Into The Funeral And Saw It Not A Gloom
There Were Balloons And Streamers All Over The Room
Her Mom Said Her Life Was A Party And I Know If She Was Here
She Would Tell Us Not To Cry Tell Us Not To Fear
I Walked Up To The Casket To Say My Goodbye
And When I Saw Grace I Started To Cry
Amazing Grace How Sweet Her Sound It Saved A Wretch Like Me
I Once Was Lost But Now I'm Found Was Blind Till She Made Me See
She Was A Girl Of Only Five
She Taught Me What It Meant To Be Alive
She Taught Me How To Love And Live My Life For Good
And If She Was Here Right Now I Would Thank Her If I Could
So Many Nights I Talk To Her Though I Don't Know If She Can Hear
And No Matter Where I Am That Night Amazing Grace Is There
Amazing Grace How Sweet Her Sound It Saved A Wretch Like Me
I Once Was Lost But Now I'm Found Was Blind Till She Made Me See
Amazing Grace How Sweet Her Sound She Helped Me Find My Way
Amazing Grace Amazing Grace Is All I'll Ever Say
Amazing Grace You Saved My Life And Set My Path Straight
Amazing Grace In Your Short Life You Helped Me Seal My Fate
Amazing Grace Amazing Grace I Miss Your Smile Yes It's True
Amazing Grace Amazing Grace I'm Eternally Thankfull To You
